Product Description

Chemcov is a two-component, polyurethane-based, roller coating covering and detailing top coat paint

Uses

For fast-curing coving and detailing for indoor applications
Particularly suitable for the dry and wet areas.
To coat coved skirting

Storage conditions

6 months from the date of manufacturing if stored properly in shelf life, undamaged seal packaging, at a temperature between 50- 30 °C. It should be kept in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from heat, direct sunlight, sparks, and children.

Method of Application

Substrate Quality

The CDS (clean, dry, sound) test must be conducted before the application of primer to the concrete substrate. The substrate must be free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings, and surface treatments etc. If in doubt, apply a test area first.

Application conditions

Note: The substrate temperature must be at least 30C above the prevalent dew point temperature to reduce chances of condensation on the floor.

Priming

Remove dust from the surface. Ensure that the surface to be coated is clean, dry, and free from any contaminants.

Mixing

First, add the correct amount of Resin to the Hardener and mix thoroughly for one minute using an electrical stirrer until a consistent mix is achieved.

Application

Apply two coats of Chemcov by keeping the specified overcoating time on the coved surface until saturation of the substrate is achieved. Apply Chemcov using a brush/ roller.

Note: Rough surfaces need to be levelled first.

Cleaning of Tools

Clean all tools and application equipment with a suitable thinner like EP 140 immediately after use. Hardened and/or cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Handling & Safety

Avoid direct contact. Wear personal protective equipment like chemical-resistant goggles/gloves/clothing, etc., to prevent direct contact with skin and eyes. Apply in well-ventilated areas. Open doors and windows during use. Please refer to our Material Safety Data Sheet before using the product.
