Method of Application
1 Surface preparation:
Grind or prepare the substrate with a wire brush or other suitable equipment, and remove dust and friable particles . Clean the surface with a vacuum. Ensure that the surface is free of contaminants like oil, grease, etc. Ensure the ambient temperature is not less than 10 °C and not more than 50 °C at the time of coating.
2. Priming
Priming is usually not necessary. Most substrates only require priming if testing indicates a need. Consult Chemsol solution experts for additional information.
3. Mixing and Application of Material
Stir each component thoroughly. Mix component A and B in a prescribed ratio with a slow-speed stirrer fitted with a suitable mixing paddle to a homogenous and uniform mixture for 2 minutes. Ensure that there is no entrapped air. Apply the above mix directly on the concrete surface or metal surface. Apply Chemozinc EP if required in case of a metal surface before application of Chempoxy Coal Tar Apply the first coat of Chempoxy coal tar on the prepared surface by brush/roller/spray. Allow it to touch dry for 4-5 hrs (depending on ambient conditions) If required, apply a second coat of Chempoxy coal tar. While the application is with an airless spray, use standard equipment having a tip size minimum of 23 thou and a tip pressure of 2200-2400 psi
